The Inner Wheel Club of Kalgoorlie Boulder chartered in November 1989. Two of the Charter members were travelling when the charter celebration was held so they were inducted via telephone ~ we wonder if any other members have been chartered this way.

Over the past 20 years our club has been actively involved at District Level having had two members serve as District Chairman, we have also had members go on to serve at National and International levels as well as attending National Conferences and International Conventions. We enjoy this level of involvement and being part of Inner Wheel internationally.

Our club meets over dinner at the Tower Hotel on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

We are very proud of our involvement in the local community having over the years provided various equipment for the Oncology Ward at our local hospital, St Johns Ambulance, Silver Chain Nursing, Royal Flying Doctor Service, the local Asthma Branch, several Aged Nursing Homes to name a few.

One project that has been ongoing is the supply of Emergency Baskets through the Salvation Army for people who have lost their homes and belongings to fire. Baskets containing items such as cookware, crockery, cutlery, linen, toiletries are given to fire victims on our behalf.

Kalgoorlie Boulder is a gold mining town situated on the edge of the desert in Western Australia 600kms from our nearest Inner Wheel Club. These distances do not deter us from being actively involved and we enjoy being part of our great organisation.
